Privacy Policy
We keep this simple. We collect only what we need to reply to you and run a good website, and we handle it in line with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
1. Who we are
Larecluz.social (“Larecluz”, “we”, “us”) is a creator-led social media marketing agency based in Sydney, New South Wales, Australia. This policy explains how we handle personal information collected through larecluz.social (the “website”) and through enquiries sent to us. If you have any questions, contact us at info@larecluz.social.
2. What we collect
We collect personal information in two main ways:
- When you contact us. Our contact form does not send data to a server. It opens your own email app with a pre-filled message to info@larecluz.social. When you send that email, we receive your name, email address, business name, the platforms you’re interested in and anything else you choose to include.
- When you browse the website. Our hosting provider and any analytics we use may record technical information such as your browser type, device, approximate location (derived from IP address), the pages you visit and the time of your visit. Where possible we use privacy-friendly, aggregated analytics that do not identify you personally.
We do not knowingly collect sensitive information, and we ask that you don’t include it in your messages. If you’re a creator working with us on a campaign, we may also collect your social handles, rates, payment details and content approvals as part of that engagement.
3. Why we collect it
We use personal information to:
- respond to your enquiry and prepare proposals or quotes;
- plan, deliver and report on campaigns you engage us for;
- coordinate with creators and partners involved in your campaign;
- understand how the website is used so we can improve it; and
- meet our legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We will not sell your personal information or use it for unrelated marketing without your consent. If we send you marketing emails, every message will include a simple way to unsubscribe.
4. Who we share it with
We only share personal information where it’s needed to do the work you’ve asked for, or where the law requires it. That may include creators and talent managers engaged on your campaign, service providers who help us run the business (such as email, cloud storage, hosting and accounting providers), and professional advisers. We expect these parties to handle your information securely and only for the purpose it was shared.
5. Overseas disclosure
Some of the services we use store or process data outside Australia. Our email, hosting and cloud tools may store data in the United States and other countries. Campaigns we run involve third-party social media platforms, such as Instagram, that operate their own servers overseas, including in the United States and the People’s Republic of China.
When information is published or shared on these platforms, it is handled under the platform’s own privacy policy and the laws of the country where it’s held, which may differ from Australian law. We take reasonable steps to make sure overseas recipients handle personal information consistently with the APPs, and we’ll talk you through what each platform involves before a campaign goes live.
6. Cookies and analytics
The website itself does not use advertising or tracking cookies. We may use your browser’s session storage to remember small preferences, such as whether you’ve already seen the opening animation. If we add analytics, we’ll prefer tools that collect aggregated, non-identifying data. You can block or delete cookies and site data in your browser settings at any time; the website will still work.
7. How we keep it safe
We take reasonable steps to protect personal information from misuse, interference, loss and unauthorised access, including using reputable providers, access controls and secure passwords. We keep information only for as long as we need it for the purposes above or as required by law, and then delete or de-identify it.
8. Access and correction
You can ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it if it’s inaccurate, out of date or incomplete. Email info@larecluz.social and we’ll respond within a reasonable time, usually within 30 days. If we can’t give you access for a reason permitted by law, we’ll explain why.
9. Complaints
If you think we’ve mishandled your personal information, please contact us first at info@larecluz.social so we can put it right. We’ll acknowledge your complaint promptly and aim to resolve it within 30 days. If you’re not satisfied with our response, you can contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
10. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The latest version will always be on this page, with the effective date shown at the top. Significant changes will be highlighted on the website.
